Why Take Your Kids to the Zoo?

By Lance Winslow One of the greatest things that larger families with lots of kids can do is to take all their children to see the animals at the Zoo. Do you recall as a child going to the Zoo and how much fun it was? Kids love to go to the Zoo and going to the Zoo can be inexpensive too. Most amusement parks cost so much money for a large family and yet most Zoos allow kids under twelve to get in for free. And that right there is a huge savings. You may also wish to consider taking plenty of water bottles with you as well, because drinks are usually expensive to buy. If you go to the Zoo to check it out without all your kids you will see that many large families have discovered that Zoos are a good entertainment value and you will see lots of children there. Consider if you will the costs to take 4-5 children to see a Movie and with Pop-Corn and Soft Drinks you can rack up quite a tab indeed. But if you are wise with your money you can go to the Zoo almost all day for a lot less than going out to the movies with your kids one time. Going to the Zoo also helps children appreciate wildlife and animals and helps them learn to respect life; all life. It is great day to go to the Zoo. So, please think on this in 2006. “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board. What’s The Ultimate Non Surgical Face Lift?

By Marcus Ryan Have you heard of a non surgical face lift? But what is it? Well, it’s exactly that! You get the results of having a face lift, but you do it without the need for surgery and without painful injections either. If you asked a dermatologist ten years ago whether the best wrinkle creams can do such a thing, they may have just laughed or thought it was not possible. But now, more and more women are are taking advantage of these wrinkle cream products that work, and are looking younger day by day, and have their friends asking them how they did it! Well, you’re in luck because you’re about to find out how these remarkable ‘face lift in a bottle’ products work. And yes, many dermatologists are surprised at the results they’re seeing in women aged from the late twenties to the fifties and even sixties. So here’s how these wrinkle creams work. Firstly, these breakthrough wrinkle creams have a dramatic anti wrinkle effect. Simply put, they reverse wrinkles, fine lines and deep lines in a very short period of time - in some product less than 10 minutes. This is achieved from proper hydration thanks to natural oils as well as naturally occurring cellular proteins, so that the skin cells look and function with the right amount of hydration. You don’t get this effect from using ‘moisturizers’, you need the wrinkle creams that work. And yes, the before and after photos prove their results real well. Second, notice their anti aging effect. Skin specific antioxidants work to protect your skin cells from cellular damage. Basically this means slower skin aging. And this is great because if your skin aging is slowed down, you’re really slowing down the actual cause of skin aging. And plastic surgery certainly does not do this for you. Not to mention the costs and major risks of surgery and anesthesia associated with cosmetic facial surgery. So to recap, you can now get the effects of a facelift, without the need for surgery, and without the need for botox injections. Which means gorgeous skin simply and safely, without the huge risks and costs. To get the wrinkle cream products that work, and work as the ultimate non surgical facelift, see the site in the resource box below. Remember to take good care of your skin and soon your friends will be asking you the question ‘Did you have plastic surgery?’ Want to learn more about wrinkle creams that work? Marcus Ryan helps you to find the wrinkle creams that gives results, on his review site about the non surgical face lifts with the best wrinkle cream products available. Weight Loss Facts and “Magic Bullets”

By Martin Harshberger Facts not Fiction about Weight loss: Weight Loss Facts If you take anything away from reading this article it is my hope that you will fully understand and be able to differentiate weight loss facts from fiction. To put it plainly, no diet in the world is going to help you lose weight and keep it off permanently. This is especially true if you buy into the latest fad diets touting high protein/high fat intake while strictly limiting your ingestion of carbohydrates. What these diets fail to tell you is that many of the foods that are richest in essential vitamins and minerals are considered carbohydratesmore specifically, complex carbohydrates. Fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, and whole grain products are all beneficial to our health because they are high in antioxidants, fiber, protein, and minerals that our bodies need to thrive. If you cut out these complex carbohydrates because you are afraid eating them will make you fat, you are doing your body a huge disservice. Likewise, if you take in too much protein from high fat sources, such as beef and lamb, you are further complicating matters. Meats high in saturated fats lead to clogged arteries, obesity, vascular problems, and a feeling of sluggishness. Unfortunately, the media does not want Americans to understand the true weight loss facts, because if we did they would lose millions of dollars a year in revenue. Think about all of the products on the market today that are geared towards weight loss, such as high protein bars, zero carb cereals and breads, and a host of supplements. My new personal favorite is the cream made from a cactus that you rub on your body externally to accomplish weight loss. If we become educated enough to realize that we do not necessarily need to buy such products to lose weight and feel great, these companies would go bankrupt. Therefore, they are willing to spend millions of dollars a year in advertising to cover up the real weight loss facts and keep us hooked on their products. People are so desperate for a weight loss super pill they seem willing to try anything except common sense. It Is Time You Understood the Real Weight Loss Facts If you want to lose weight and keep it off you must do two thingsexercise regularly and eat a diet that limits saturated fats, preservatives, sugars, and sodium. Aim for foods that are in their natural state, and avoid those pesky middle aisles of the supermarket that are stocked with prepackaged foods. Take time to prepare a healthy meal for yourself every evening, and strive for better food selections when eating out. The end result is that you will begin to see those pounds melt away, your energy will increase, your sleep will improve, and your outlook on life in general will be much brighter. Sure, it takes time, but aren’t all things worth having worth working for? I think so. Real nutrition, fitness and weight loss information for real people. Car Loans After Bankruptcy - Tips to Getting Approved

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder A car loans after a bankruptcy is one way to help build back your credit history. In fact, once your bankruptcy closes, you can apply for a car loan the next day. To get approved with the best rates for your car loan, follow these tips. Review Your Credit Report Before you start applying for a car loan, check out your credit report and make sure all your accounts are in order. It is not uncommon after a bankruptcy to see open accounts that should be closed, which hurt your credit rating. While looking at your credit report, consider adding a page explaining the situation that resulted in your bankruptcy. If there were extenuating circumstances, lenders may approve you for a better rate than under normal conditions. Plan Your Car Purchase Before purchasing a vehicle, decide what you can afford in a monthly car loan payment. This will help you decide which financing package is best for you. Both the loan amount and length of payments will determine your monthly payments, so there is flexibility in determining which vehicle you can afford to purchase. Use A Car Loan Lender Car loan lenders make their money by finding you a loan. Car loan lenders work with several financing partners to back loans with all types of credit risk, including bankruptcies. Online car loan lenders deal with thousands of loans, and can usually find you a better deal than your local car dealerships. Online car loan lenders will send you a check when you are approved, basically making you a pre-approved car loan buyer. Explain Your Situation Car loan applications will ask if you have ever declared bankruptcy and why. This is your chance to explain what led up to the situation and what steps you have taken to resolve your credit situation. Be sure to include improvements in your financial history too. Consider Refinancing Once you are approved for a car loan, keep your eye on future refinancing. By making regular payments on all your bills, in a years time you could qualify for significantly lower interest rates. In three years, you can build your credit score to near excellent and qualify for even lower rates. South Beach Diet “The Review Diaries”

By Veronica Kettler The Review Diaries She Unlimited Magazine There are masses of carbohydrate diets like the Atkins Diet and The Zone. Now Hamptons diet meets South Beach. I think most of us know the reason for it’s creative principle of lowering cholesterol for Dr A`s patients and those with diabetes. The diets regimen is based on the consumption of complex carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and lean fats and proteins. It eliminates simple carbohydrates almost entirely (sweets, pasta, most bread, etc.) and aggressively restricts carbohydrate consumption during the weight loss phase of the diet, similar to Atkins. This type of diet is simply going to lower caloric intake for those who follow it, consequently weight loss. I still think calories count, although you can eat what you want from the allowed foods list, if you overtake in calories….well, some experience no weight loss. However over time youre hunger will subside and you will then naturally take in a less amount of food. The book does focus on decreased carbohydrate consumption in a healthier manner, but the book falls into the trap of marketing itself in a similar manner as all fad diets. They clearly know what appeals to desperate, overweight people and they use the common buzzwords in this business such as, “lose weight fast”, “13 Pounds in 2 weeks”, “cravings were gone”, “never unsatisfied.” Overly optimistic claims are certainly dubious when lasting weight loss is difficult, as we all know. It is essential. And this diet makes diet sense. It is easy to follow; some find it hard finding the low fat ricotta cheese, but other than that it is a simple plan for regular people and not geared toward the fitness enthusiastic of sorts. Keep in mind once you reach your goal you can have your loved wanted sweet foods (not so healthy foods) in moderation. At that point once you reach your goal, only then should you dibble into the cakes, etc, remember moderation is key. It takes dedication and adding some source of exercise into the program just helps to build you metabolism. Why Bollywood Ringtones Are The “In” Thing

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Philip_Nicosia]Philip Nicosia The pull of popular culture is what is driving the current worldwide popularity of mobile phones. Owning a cool phone is considered the in thing and makes people feel that they belong. Popular culture is also the reason for the current popularity of certain fringe cultural outlets like world cinema or world music. It is not surprising that these two worlds phones and world cinema would meet and come up with a surprisingly new and fresh fad. Bollywood ringtones on your mobile phone. For those who are as yet unfamiliar with the term, Bollywood is a term that has been given to the Hindi-language film industry in India. The term Bollywood is a mix of the names Bombay (which is the old name of Mumbai) and Hollywood the acknowledged center of the American film industry. The Indian film industry is one of the most robust in the world. It is considered as one of the most prolific in terms of the number of films released each year. It is also the number one when it comes to the total number of ticket sales. The most unique (or most peculiar, depending on your personal taste) feature of Bollywood movies are the musical numbers incorporated into almost all movie offerings. This does not necessarily mean that Bollywood movies are all musicals. It is just that by tradition, a movie is not considered complete without a song and dance number. And unlike the typical musical, these numbers contain plot points and action that are not found in US-style musical. For most Indian moviegoers a movie that does not contain at least one song and dance number is considered incomplete and not worth the price of the ticket. Traditional Indian dance and music forms heavily influence these song and dance numbers. Even pop or modern songs and dances are injected with distinctively Indian elements that make them quite unique. It is these unique Bollywood songs (also known as filmi music) that are gaining a renewed popularity as ringtones for mobile phones. There may be two major reasons for the growing popularity of Bollywood ringtones. First, Indian cinema is gaining a new level of international popularity in other countries. Film lovers are discovering that Bollywood films have merits that makes them so compelling to watch. Lovers of kitsch, on the other hand, find Bollywood movies fantastical enough that it captures their attention. The second reason for the popularity may also be attributable to it being such a peculiar yet cheeky way of having a ringtone. A bollywood ringtone on a persons phone may paint a picture of that person as a lover of film and / or a person who has a sense of humor and loves to bring something unusual to his phone. Customizing your mobile phones ringtone with a Bollywood ringtone shows that you are a person that is both a lover of culture but not afraid to poke a little fun at yourself. These qualities may be the reason that Bollywood ringtones are becoming such a popular choice among people. The Fine Art of Smudging

By Samantha Stevens An Aboriginal Canadian friend of mine who teaches at the Whispering Lodge in Toronto was explaining to me how physical or emotional healing cannot take place until the person is cleansed of any of the following conditions: 1) Emotional conditions such as resentment, bitterness, envy, jealousy and guilt 2) Negative thoughts about others or one’s past or future 3) Negative emotions such as grief, hatred, desire 4) Bad or evil spirits 5) Attachments or negative energy sent to us from other people In most Aboriginal traditions, a sweat lodge, basically a tent or teepee or cave filled with smoke and heat, is used to remedy the sick person of these conditions. In ancient Rome, buildings called purgatoriums were used for the same purpose. These smoke and heat filled places were considered sacred spaces in which the spirits or God could lift negative entities and energies from an individual without interference with others. Many indigenous cultures throughout the world use burning herbs, plants and resins to accomplish the same purpose. In some cultures the smoke is taken into one’s hands and rubbed over the body to blacken it. This is where the modern day practice got its nickname — smudging. Below is a list of common herb, plants, grasses and resins that are commonly used in smudging ceremonies. You can light these substances yourself and carry a bundle of the substance around your home in a counter-clockwise circle to cleanse your space. I highly recommend cleansing the body outside, however, as I have found that sage can burn very fast and create a lot of rapid whirling smoke that easily sets off the fire alarm. Sage Sprigs - the most common substance used for cleansing is sage. The word sage comes from the Latin word Salvia which means, “to heal.” There are also varieties of sage, which are from the Artemisia family of plants. This includes mugwort which s used for cleansing and protection. White sage is used for cleansing and protection. Combining branches of pine and white sages together and burning them is used to attract prosperity. Cedar and Juniper branches - These evergreen boughs have historically been used to help cleanse, purify and protect ones belongings. Sometimes brooms are made from them to use the smoke “sweep” to cleanse a home during a house blessing. Sweetgrass - This musty smelling grass is used to drive out bad influences and draw good influences into the home. It is often used after a prayer or ritual to “hold” the magic” in its place. Copal - this aromatic plant resin is mainly used in South American rituals. The touch of the strongly scented smoke from burning copal is thought to cleanse and purify any object or person. Frankincense and Myrrh - these “biblical resins are used in Africa, the Middle East and Europe for ceremonies and rituals. Burned together they are thought to balance yin and yang, or the masculine and feminine energies in a place or dwelling. Either is thought to draw blessings into a home. Tobacco - Tobacco is burned to float prayers upwards to the Creator where they will be heard and answered. Burning a tobacco along with sage, cedar or sweet grass is thought to enhance the magical intentions of the smudge. Smudges and resins can be bought commercially from occult, new age and gift shops. I usually put the branches, plants or resins in the bowl and blacken my hands and face with it. While doing this I pray for protection, purification and blessings from above. If healing another person or purifying a room I will sometimes use a feather or a branch to waft the smoke in the desired direction. Smudging is not all hooey and voodoo. The practice is also thought to created negative ions in the air that remove static and create a positive atmosphere. Not only do people usually feel good afterwards, it also creates a space for the free flowing of positive energies and prayers. Fennel - Delicious and Nutritious

By Claire Raikes I love Fennel (the bulb) which surprises me because I never liked aniseed (even when, at 16, Pernod was the only thing to get drunk on in friends parents drinks cabinets!). Im not that keen on liquorice either and the flavour of fennel is definitely in that taste area only for me at least sufficiently different to be one of my very favourite veggies. What to do with it - the raw… I particularly like it raw, either grated or shredded on a mandolin in a green salad or added as an exotic twist to homemade, dairy-free coleslaw, so… white cabbage, carrots, onions and fennel with a dressing made from a blend of sunflower oil, apple cider vinegar and almond butter. Absolutely delicious. …and the cooked. If I eat it cooked, I like to sweat it in a teeny bit of oil with leeks, onion, garlic and plenty of dried tarragon. The tarragon does something really special to the flavour of the fennel and leeks. A divine combination. I introduced my gourmet father to this recipe back in April and he has served it at dinner parties twice since then - only he uses naughty butter instead of oil. It really is delicious and I urge you to try it. I also like it as a soup. Again its a doddle to do. Simply place half a red onion and a crushed, chopped clove of garlic into a pan with a splash of olive oil. Gently fry until they start to go clear then add a roughly chopped fennel bulb to the pan along with a Marigold organic, yeast- and gluten-free vegetable stock cube and some water. Bring to the boil and then allow to simmer for about 7 minutes. I take it off the heat at that point and using a hand blender, blend it in the saucepan, sat on the chopping board. Blend until smooth and return to the heat for a minute before serving with a handful of sprouted seeds sprinkled on top. How about roasted? Not the best way to cook from a nutrition point of view I know, but if you go really easy on the oil and keep the chunks small enough to reduce the cooking time, its delicious chopped and roasted with chunks of red and yellow pepper, whole garlic cloves and slices of onion, sprinkled over with rosemary. So thats a few ideas on what you can do with it, but what does it do with you? Well, its an excellent source of fibre, so aside from helping lower high cholesterol levels, there is also evidence that it can help diarrhoea or constipation too, so if you suffer from IBS you should try it. And since fibre also removes potentially carcinogenic toxins from the colon, fennel bulb may also be useful in preventing colon cancer. Like broccoli, it contains those all important phytonutrients including one called anethole the primary component of its oil. Believed to enhance immunity, anethole has been shown to reduce inflammation and to help prevent the occurrence of cancer. It seems to be able to protect the liver from toxic chemical injury. At 100mg per 100g, it contains just a little less calcium than full-fat milk (118mg per 100g*) except unlike milk, fennel is very low in cholesterol. It is a great source of Vitamin C, Folate, Potassium and Manganese and a good source of Niacin, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus and Copper. So if you are having a BBQ this weekend, how about making a batch of the coleslaw suggested above or adding some fennel to your green salad. Or even skewering chunks of it with organic chicken and red and yellow pepper to make some delicious kebabs. Digital Signage: Hybrid, Interactive Systems Amplify Marketing Impact

By David Little A new trend in digital signage is emerging that combines the strength of digital signs with the interactivity of digital kiosks. For many areas, such as retail shops, the sum of the two holds greater potential for marketers than either of the individual parts. Known in some circles as hybrid digital signs and by others as interactive digital signage, these combo systems can capture the attention of those nearby by playing back compelling linear content -for example an enticing commercial or news feed- and immediately switching to an interactive mode when triggered by an external input, such as the touch of a viewer, the mere presence of a passerby or even environmental conditions. Like a standalone digital sign, a hybrid system allows communicators to playback a pre-built sequence of elements, including video files, graphics, text, animation and live television. Those staples of digital signage are the makings of an effective message that entices interaction with the very flat panel on which the content plays. Once viewers touch the panel or step within its proximity, the hybrid sign automatically interrupts linear content playback and displays a digital kiosk-like interface that lets a shopper touch hot spots on the screen, launching a pre-built interactive branching presentation. Navigating through the presentation, shoppers can find the information they want like product recommendations, pricing and availability. Depending upon the level of sophistication needed, such hybrid interactive presentations can link to company’s servers, pulling information needed for the presentation and collecting information about the consumer that can be stored on the server. For instance, a hybrid system at an automotive retailer could send an inquiry to the store’s server to access a database of recommended filters and oil viscosity specified by each car manufacturer. Matching information the customer entered about his car with the recommendations in the database, the system could check inventory for the right products, retrieve availability and pricing and present the information to the shopper standing at the hybrid sign. Prior to offering that information, the system could ask the shopper to enter his name and address and to grant permission to be notified of future specials. With that data saved on the server, the retailer’s marketing department can automatically send out coupons for oil and filters when next estimated time for an oil change rolls around. What enticed the shopper to touch the screen in the first place? Perhaps it was a video playing back in linear digital signage mode of a favorite racecar driver discussing why it’s important to stay current on oil changes. On the front end of customer interaction, the hybrid system cast a wide net, cycling through a playlist of content designed to sell oil, followed by tires, then batteries, air filters -the list goes on an on. Each linear segment is backed up by an interactive kiosk component that’s triggered when a shopper’s curiosity is piqued by one of these linear presentations and touches the screen. On the back end, the system uses data that’s collected to stay in touch with shoppers once they leave the store, offering special incentives to have them return. In essence, hybrid digital signage can help to extend the marketing reach of a retailer well beyond arm’s length from the display panel and into the homes of shoppers who are willing to interact. Interactivity doesn’t haven’t to begin with a human touch either. Imagine a hybrid digital signage system in a ski shop at the base of mountain. Skiers donning their boots and gloves might see a digital sign in passing as it plays back linear content; however, their attention might be focused when temperature, wind and solar sensors at the top of the mountain report conditions and trigger specific presentations. Lots of sun could call up reminders about needing sun screen. Heavy snow might trigger another presentation that makes them think twice about leaving the store before having the right gloves or goggles. The possibilities for interactive, hybrid digital signage are only as limited as the imagination of creative marketers. To be sure, this aspect of the digital signage market is in its infancy. However, with the recent availability of the hardware and software needed to bring together the separate worlds of kiosks and digital signage, hybrid systems will certainly play an important roll in the unfolding digital signage market. By Alberto Martinez Miller The best weight loss program on the market today can be easily spotted. How can you tell? Well first of all, the program will actually show you the road to weight loss instead of just telling you. Do you really need someone that repeats what you already know, that you need to lose weight? No, of course you don’t. What you really need is someone to show you how to attain weight loss and keep it off. Where can you find the best weight loss program available? Through research and the help of the internet. Of course, many people think that the only way to experience weight loss is with medical methods such as surgeries or prescription medication. However, one thing you might not know is that the best weight loss program will show you is that your greatest ally can actually be food. Now you are probably thinking food got me where I am in the first place, looking for a weight loss program. Yes, that is correct. However, if you actually begin eating when you are supposed to, the foods you are supposed to, and in the quantities, you are supposed to, you will attain weight loss quickly and efficiently. So, if you take that enemy, the bad foods and throw them away, and then introduce the right foods, you will have found your greatest ally in weight loss. Now we are sure you have heard of diets telling you to reduce the calories you eat or the amount of food you eat. With the best weight loss program, you will find that reducing your calories actually hurt your efforts to lose weight. You see, when you first start reducing calories, at first the method will work. That is until that smart body of yours begins to realize what you are doing to it. The body will then begin make up for what it’s lacking and reduce the number of calories you burn every day. Search the internet for the best weight loss program and start learning exactly what you should be doing to attain the weight loss you want and deserve. What will you lose? The weight you have been trying to lose, but keep gaining back. What will you gain? Weight loss, certainly not the weight, but healthier and easier management of your diet and the foods you eat.
